Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) – Rachael
I am Dr. Dugas’ dental assistant, and work alongside him during most dental procedures. I graduated from Worthington Kilbourne High School in 2008, where I was captain of my high school soccer team. I attended Columbus State Community College, graduating in 2011 with a certificate in Dental Laboratory Technology. In 2012, I completed a dental assisting program, where I was able to expand my dental knowledge and expertise.
I am experienced in 4-handed dentistry, infection control, CPR, and am quickly learning advanced dental techniques. I genuinely desire to make each patient’s visit more comfortable, so don’t be surprised when I offer you noise-cancelling headphones, chapstick, or one of our other many amenities. I also like to quiz patients on music trivia (the office always has Pandora or iHeart radio on in the room), so be ready to join in. When not in the office, I cheer on the Columbus Crew and play soccer in my free time.
Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) – Claire
I am one of Dr. Dugas’ dental assistants and joined the team in November 2015. I work side by side with Dr. Dugas to ensure efficient dental treatment and outstanding patient care. I strive to make each and every one of your dental visits pleasant. I will always greet you with a smile and offer comforting words to put you at ease. You can count on me to offer you your favorite Pandora station or have a Kindle ready to enjoy while you are here!
I grew up in Clintonville where I graduated from Bishop Watterson High School in 2016. I played in an intramural volleyball league for 4 years and took part in multiple service projects throughout high school. In 2014, I completed a dental assisting program followed by an 8-week internship. I aspire to further my education and obtain my EFDA (expanded function dental assistant) certification, which will allow me to place fillings on our patients after Dr. Dugas has removed the cavities.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I have always had a love of doing various crafts. I spend much of my free time on outdoor activities and absolutely love traveling to the beach!
Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) – Andrea
I joined Dugas Dental in April 2015 as a dental hygienist. Some of my responsibilities include cleaning and polishing teeth, taking x-rays, placing sealants and providing periodontal gum therapy.
I am from McDermott, OH and I graduated from Shawnee State University in 2014 with an associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene. I am certified to anesthetize patients and administer nitrous oxide. One of my favorite parts about being in dentistry is how rewarding it is. I enjoy developing rapport with patients.
Outside of the office, I like to go shopping, spending time with family and friends, and going to the movies.
Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) – Molli
I joined the team at Dugas Dental in March of 2018 as a dental hygienist. Some of my responsibilities include cleaning and polishing teeth, taking x-rays, oral cancer screening, anesthetizing patients, placing sealants, providing periodontal gum therapy and providing oral hygiene instructions.
I am from Tiffin, OH and I graduated from Owens Community College in 2015 with an Associate’s Degree of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene, and currently taking classes at Youngstown State University to obtain my bachelor’s degree in Allied health. One of the many reasons I love being a dental hygienist is that every day that I come to work I get the chance to educate patients and help them improve their oral health so they can lead a healthier lifestyle.
Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) – Ashley
Ashley joined the team at Dugas Dental in September 2019. She has been a dental hygienist since 2007 and graduated from Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, Ohio. She is from the southern Ohio and moved to the Columbus area with her husband, Markus, after graduating. They have two boys, Alec and Marshall, and currently live in Hilliard.
Ashley’s favorite thing about being a dental hygienist is educating patients on how to better care for their oral health. She has a passion for learning as much as possible on new and updating protocols for preventative dentistry.
Periodontal health is a particular interest of hers and she loves helping patients turn around their oral health for the better.
When she’s not at Dugas Dental, Ashley also teaches yoga at various locations in the Columbus area. She loves helping people feel better about themselves and their overall health. She is also a freelance makeup artist and loves anything and everything about cosmetics.
Office Manager/Financial Coordinator – Vince
Vince is likely the first name you’ll hear when you call Dugas Dental. Because of the extensive training he received while working at Aspen Dental and Magnolia Dental, he acts as both our Financial Coordinator and our Scheduling Coordinator. He possesses a vast knowledge of dental insurances, PPOs, coding, billing and treatment estimation.
Vince was born on the south side of Chicago and lived there for most of his youth. With a predilection for numbers, he was handling the day-to-day finances of his father’s construction company by the time he turned 15. He moved to Columbus in 2014 and began his formal training with Aspen Dental. Two years later, he moved into a smaller group practice and continued to gain knowledge and understanding of the world of dentistry and dental insurance. Wanting to focus more on family, he gave up the 80-hour work weeks and joined Dugas Dental in 2018.
When not in the office, Vince enjoys spending time with his wife and two cats, named Binka and Nugget. He and his wife have a newborn daughter named Iris. Vince is a huge Harry Potter fan and looks forward to someday taking his little one to Harry Potter World!
Scheduling Coordinator/Social Media Manager – Taylor
Taylor is the scheduling coordinator who joined the team July 2019. She has worked in the dental field for almost 11 years. She is upfront checking in patients, answering the phone, and scheduling. She also has a hand in our social media presence.
Taylor is from Chicago, Illinois but grew up in Pickerington, graduating from Pickerington North in 2017. She then went to The Ohio State University majoring in Psychiatry, receiving her degree in 2018. She is currently working toward her MD in the field of Psychiatry.
When she’s not working at the office or studying, Taylor is spending time with her six huskies; Mirabelle, Lunabelle, Ice, Nymeria, Ghost, and Arya. Together with her dogs, she goes for nature hikes and sled runs.
